Hi! I’m Helen McGinn, author of The Knackered Mother’s Wine Club, an award-winning wine blog and best-selling wine book. I’m an ex-supermarket wine buyer and spent almost a decade sourcing wines around the world. I then spent the next half-decade pregnant.

I’m an international wine judge and drinks writer for Waitrose Food magazine among others. Regular TV appearances include BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen and ITV’s This Morning as their wine expert along with other shows including Celebrity Mastermind, Celebrity Weakest Link, Between the Covers and more. The Knackered Mother’s Wine Guide (an updated version of my original book) was published in February 2020 and my first fiction novel This Changes Everything was published later that year. I’ve since written four more novels including In Just One Day, This Is Us, The Island of Dreams and Under A Riviera Moon. I’m currently writing my sixth novel and my new wine book The Supermarket Wine Guide is published in May this year (and available to pre-order)!

Married with three children, I live in the New Forest with too many dogs, a needy cat and I’m hopeless with a hangover.
