A BIT ABOUT ME
I’m an ex-supermarket wine buyer and spent almost a decade sourcing wines around the world. I then spent the next half-decade pregnant.
Nowadays I taste, write and talk about wine for a living (ridiculous, I know). My latest wine book, The Supermarket Wine Guide, was published earlier this year. I’m an international wine judge and drinks writer and regular TV appearances include BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen as their resident wine expert. Other TV appearances include Celebrity Mastermind, Celebrity Weakest Link, Between the Covers and more. The Knackered Mother’s Wine Guide (an updated version of my original book) was published in February 2020 and my first fiction novel This Changes Everything was published later that year. My second novel, In Just One Day, followed in 2021 and my third novel This Is Us in 2022. The Island of Dreams, was published in February 2024 and my fifth, Under A Riviera Moon, was published in April 2025. My sixth novel, set in Tuscany, will be published in February 2027.
I’ve won various awards for the blog, including Fortnum & Mason’s Online Drink Writer of the Year and Red Magazine’s Best Blogger.
I’m married with three children and live in the New Forest with too many dogs and I’m hopeless with a hangover.
