Here are a few of my favourite things. Some are wine related; some are nothing to do with wine. But all are tried, tested and brilliant.
Wine Stuff
Reidel Glasses, £25, John Lewis
Set of two stemless glasses, good for any colour wine and most importantly, less likely to get broken in this house.
Available at The White Company
Le Creuset Waiter’s Friend Corkscrew, £29, John Lewis
Never mind being the waiter’s friend. It’s my friend. Just the best kind of corkscrew.
Available at John Lewis
Riedel Vinum Decanter, £225, John Lewis
We were given one of these when we got married 15 years ago and it’s still The One. Aerates the wine beautifully but is a bit of a bugger to pour from. Still, it looks beautiful.
Royal KVB French Stacking Carafe, £21.44, Amazon
I know it’s supposed to be for water, but I prefer wine. Especially good for those longer-than-planned lunches in the garden in the summer.
Corksicle, £19.99, John Lewis
Keeps the bottle cold just long enough, so you don’t have to keep going to the fridge. Another long-lunch-in-garden essential.
The White Company Fig Candle, £20
Love a scented candle almost as much as I love a glass of wine. This one’s divine.
Available at The White Company
Aesop Parsley Mask, £23.22, Amazon
A real face pick-me-up. Not too rich, either (my slightly knackered skin can’t cope with anything too rich).
Available at Amazon
Luck Skinny Bracelet, £40, Astley Clarke
I bought one of these for my sister, and not just because it meant I could buy one for myself. Honest.
