KMWC Christmas Case
Wine racks at the ready – the festive party season is almost upon us and it’s time to stock up the fridge door and wine rack. Together with Laithwaite’s I’ve selected a case of 12 gorgeous wines from their range.
From rose to reds, prosecco to perfect whites, it’s all here.
Normally priced at £133.88, the case is priced at just £71.88, a SAVING OF £62.
That’s less than £6 a bottle – amazing value!
What’s in my case?
Abbesse de Loire Crémant de Loire Rosé NV
Helen says: Much as I love Prosecco, it doesn’t really come in pink. This does though, a gorgeous sparkling wine from the Loire Valley.
Ca’ Bolani Frizzante Prosecco NV
Helen says: One of my absolute favourites, this is fabulously fresh, frothy and fun. Just as a good Prosecco should be. Party-ready.
Campiño Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Helen says: A reassuringly warm, earthy Cabernet Sauvignon from Spain, this is all honest, unpretentious juicy blackcurrant fruit flavours.
Trazzera Vermentino 2016
Helen says: Love this no-brainer Italian fridge-door white made from a brilliantly underrated grape. Like Pinot Grigio, but better. There, I said it.
Domaine La Tour des Abbesses 2016
Helen says: Like falling in a bramble bush, glass in hand. Except without the prickles. In the game of Rhones, this rules.
Château de la Greffière La Roche Vineuse 2015
Helen says: It’s Chardonnay but perhaps not as you know it. From Southern Burgundy, it’s a peach – with a bit of apple and grapefruit too.
Yarrunga Field Pinot Noir 2017
Helen says: More medium-bodied than monster, this is a properly great food-friendly Pinot. Supple as a Pilates instructor.
Allayne Malbec 2016
Helen says: Not for the fainthearted, this is a big, bold Malbec with buckets of black fruits and spice. Shows its very best side with roast lamb or steak.
The Huguenot Chenin Blanc 2016
Helen says: Chenin Blanc comes in all shapes and sizes – dry, sweet, sparkling. This South African one’s dry, fresh and citrusy. Spot on, style-wise.
Cabalié Rosé 2016
Helen says: A rosy rosé from the Languedoc, it’s like a dollop of summer pudding in your glass. Just what’s called for when we’re short on daylight hours.
Rockfield Road Chardonnay 2013
Helen says: New Zealand does a good line in Sauvignon Blanc but, seriously, their (good) Chardonnays are not to be missed. This one tastes far more expensive than it is.
Pillitteri Estates Carretto Vidal Icewine (20cl) 2015
Helen says: Ice wine, baby! An apricot and lychee-laden dream of a sweet wine. Ridiculously luscious, try it with fruit puddings or strong cheese, especially blue.
