ew wine book! The Supermarket Wine Guide is out on the 21st May 2026 and I am SO very excited. It’s well over a decade since my first wine book The Knackered Mother’s Wine Guide was published and I honestly never thought I’d write another one. But I’m asked for wine recommendations every single day – it’s what I love doing – so when I was asked to put them all in one book I knew I had to do it. I’ve picked 20-25 wines from each of the main UK retailers, all styles and prices, and there’s loads more besides including tips on how to find wines to suit your palate, food and wine matching, decoding labels and more. Back when I was a wine buyer, I never dreamed I’d still be writing and talking about one of my favourite things all these years later but here we are. I am so grateful for your support along the way, I really couldn’t have done it without you.

Looking forward to reading your new book. I do have a personal interest in supermarket wines as I’ve been running my website Wine Round Up for the last 7 years. Please take a look, this is the first time I’ve stuck my head above the vinous parapet outside of my 200 subscribers. Each month I collate mainly supermarket wines from media reviews and publish a list predictably called This Months Highlights. Along side this a I write a newsletter commenting on the list and in addition add my own observations and some wine education, these can be found on the website under, again predictably Newsletters. I am not looking for any endorsement but if you have time I’m just interested in what you think. This is a retirement project and has no monetary reward except the love of wine.

I am so extremely happy you are doing this, I loved reading you Knackered Mother’s Wine Guide and Club, and feel that this is the next step…now that both your children and my beautiful daughter are a lot older!
