First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who’s ordered a case (or more) of our first ever KMWC exclusive wine case. It’s absolutely flying! Lots of you have already tucked in (I expect nothing less) and I’m loving hearing what you think of the wines. If you can, take a picture with bottle in hand and bung it on Instagram, Twitter or the KMWC Facebook page with the hashtag #knackeredwine so that I can see what you’re drinking. I’m nosy like that. In other news, I went to see Absolutely Fabulous last week. In fancy dress, obviously. I went as Saffy. If you haven’t seen it grab some Ab-Fab loving mates, quaff a glass of fizz and go. Joyous, especially when you’re dressed in a comfy cardigan and sensible shoes.
Current white in the fridge: Saint Mont

The grapes in the this blend are brilliantly off the wall and utterly typical of southwest France. The main grape in here is called Gros Manseng. Other invitees to the party include Petit Corbu, Arrufiac and Petit Manseng. Not even spellcheck can cope with those. Together, they make a gorgeous, grapefruit-scented gem of a dry white. Made by one of the best known producers in the region, it’s crisp, fresh and so, so drinkable. Put it with asparagus whilst you can.
Current red in the rack: The Astronomer Shiraz

Sometimes, the simplest wines are right under our nose, IYKWIM. Australian Shiraz is consistently good but in the hands of a really good producer like De Bortoli, the relatively inexpensive stuff can really shine. This is stuffed full of smooth, juicy black plum fruits with a touch of mint. A fair whack of alcohol too, just so you know. No ball games after drinking this. Lovely without food, even better with it. Spag bol a winner.
Love the photo 😉❤️
