So, I have news. I’ve been desperate to share this with you before now but had to keep it secret – and I’m terrible at keeping secrets. Which is somewhat ironic given that I’ve written a novel that contains a really big secret in the plot line. Anyway, here it is: This Changes Everything. It’s about first love, eternal love and lost love along with family, friendship and lots, lots more set (mostly) in Rome and Cornwall. It’s out on the 9th February 2021 and if you pre-order it here now I will be forever grateful. You’ll also be in with a chance to win an AMAZING prize but more on that next week. Whatever, I hope I’ve written something that’ll at least make you sit a while and lose yourself in the story. Glass of wine in reach, obviously.
Talking of wine I’ve got a couple of recommendations this week, both featured on Saturday Kitchen last week. Think you’ll love ’em.
Current white in the fridge: Jurançon
Price: £8.99 - Buy From Lidl
This is part of Lidl’s latest Wine Tour so if you see one on shelf, grab it because it won’t be around for long. It’s a sweet wine from South West France, made from late harvest grapes (rather than noble rot like Sauternes). Naturally sweet but not at all cloying, it goes brilliantly with blue cheese or any sponge/fruit-based pudding. Or white milk chocolate – dreamy.
Current red in the rack: Tesco Finest Chilean Merlot
Price: £8.00 - Buy From Tesco
I used to visit this particular producer many years ago when I was a supermarket buyer and always loved the wines from this beautiful spot in Chile’s Colchagua Valley. The reds have an almost chocolate-y character to them, smooth and rich and so, so more-ish. This one’s gorgeous, all black plum fruit and gentle spice. Try it before I buy the rest.
Trying to order but only seems available in kindle format??…
Hi Chiara, it’ll be in all formats on publication but pre-order for e-book available now. Thank you! x
Have just finished reading your book and loved it. So uplifting for the present time. Well done and hurry up with the next. 😆
Thanks so much Sue, so thrilled you enjoyed it! Writing next one now x
