Last week, I sent an email to everyone who subscribes to this blog asking what else you might like to see on here. I’m properly overwhelmed by the response so thank you – THANK YOU – for being so amazing. I love how many of you want, among other things, more on food and wine, on best deals including wine by the case and more videos covering the essentials. If you want to add anything, please do let me know either by leaving a comment here on the blog or subscribe by email (and get a free taster of the KMWC book). Talking of books, I must just tell you *leans in* I’m writing another one. Fiction this time. I’m not making it up (you know what I mean). More on that next week.
Current white in the fridge: Savoie Blanc Coeur Terroir
Price: £9.00 - Buy From Marks and Spencer
So fresh, so crisp, it makes you pout like Posh on first sip but once the flavours hit – mostly lemons with a dash of floral – you’ll soon be smiling. It’s made in the Savoie region in eastern France from an incredible cocktail of local grapes, including Jacquère, Chasselas and Altesse. Off the beaten track is an understatement. Needs nothing but nibbles.
Current red in the rack: Truly Irresistible Mount Benson Shiraz
Price: £6.99 - Buy From Co-op
This is what’s known as a stealth wine – so good, you drink a little bit more than you mean to. A super smooth Shiraz from the Co-op’s Truly Irresistible range, when you stick your nose in the glass you can tell it comes from somewhere warm. The smell is so ripe, so vibrant, so damn lovely. Piled with almost creamy blackcurrant fruit flavours, it’s made for sausages and mash.
